PracticeMethod

Evidence-led. Underwriter-ready.

Our method is built around a single question: what would change if this observation reached the person who could act on it? Every phase of our engagement model exists to close that loop.

The engagement model

Five phases, one throughline.

We compress the traditional consulting arc so it fits underwriting windows and construction schedules, without cutting rigor.

01

Scope & align

30-minute discovery. We define the decision, the audience, the timeline, and the success criteria before scoping fieldwork.

02

Field & document

On-site observation with photo-referenced findings, loss-data ingestion, control mapping, and interviews at all leadership layers.

03

Model & grade

Trend the losses, benchmark the controls, score the residual. A defensible grade the underwriter or executive can price against.

04

Narrate

Executive summary, submission narrative, and a prioritized action plan. Every claim footnoted to an observation or a data point.

05

Follow through

We track recommendation implementation and re-measure at renewal to show the delta, maintaining an accurate risk profile over time.

The 10-day turn

How rapid-cycle underwriting runs.

Carriers don't quote on consultant time. When a submission is live, the assessment has to arrive inside the decision window, complete, defensible, and formatted for the underwriting file.

Phase 01

Kickoff & document intake.

Remote kickoff with the account team. Loss runs, safety programs, prior assessments, and submission documents collected and reviewed. Success criteria and delivery formats locked before any fieldwork begins.

Safety documentation
Phase 02

Field verification.

Site visit where warranted, observation, leadership interviews, and control verification. Remote interviews otherwise. Every finding photo-referenced and geolocated to the observation.

Phase 03

Analysis & grading.

Loss trending, control benchmarking, and residual exposure scoring against the account's class and size peers. Frequency and severity segmented by trade, task, and region.

Report review
Phase 04

Narrative & delivery.

Underwriter-ready technical assessment with prioritized recommendations, delivered, walked through, and filed. Ready for the file, ready for the quote.

Principles

Four commitments we don't compromise.

Method is disposable, principle isn't. These are the rules we hold when the schedule tightens.

01
Observation before opinion
Every claim in our reports is anchored to a photo, a data point, or a named source. If we didn't see it or measure it, we don't assert it.
02
Speed with rigor
A 10-day turnaround is not a shortcut, it's a discipline engineered into the workflow. Compression comes from process, not from skipped steps.
03
Both sides of the table
We write for the contractor and the carrier simultaneously. If a narrative can't hold up in either room, we rewrite it.
04
Follow-through
We measure the delta between assessment and renewal. If nothing changed on the site, we didn't do our job, no matter how good the report looked.

A good assessment doesn't just describe the site, it changes what happens on it before we come back.
